Astrophotography is a wonderful combination of science and art. There are a lot of technical challenges in capturing good image data from setting up the telescope to integrating the various pieces of software needed to make it all work together. And once we collect all of that delicious data we’re faced with the task of post-processing to bring out both the information and the beauty. The ultimate goal is to reveal as much as we can about the object in the most pleasing way we can find.
